Such is the world of cryptocurrency that a coin with hardly any development and a compromised witness set can overtake one that is very active and less centralised. Mind you, these two have been tracking each other pretty much since the fork. I assume that the same people are buying each of them even though they are generally independent. They do not need a massive amount to trading to shift them so someone could be manipulating them. I know a very few people make nice daily income ($100+) on each post on the legacy chain whilst most will make pennies. We tend not to see such a big range here, but obviously some people benefit from regular whale support. I never have, but that is okay as I am happy with my progress anyway. I will keep powering up.
Comparing the 'stable' coins shows a slightly difference story. HBD is kept pretty stable by accounts that collect it through posts and then buy or sell to adjust it. The other lot gave up on theirs and so some people will have lost a lot of value. That has peaked at about $19 which makes a mockery of what it was supposed to be.
I will note that Coingecko do not even supply data for $BLURT as it is considered inactive with a last value of a fraction of a cent. Maybe you can still trade it somewhere, but I stopped caring long ago and gave up even looking at the site.
@thelogicaldude has added a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to 
@blocktunes. I have not tried this as I have software for that, but it sounds interesting. You need to support the project with a subscription or a delegation for access to this.
@rishi556 has a new dapp called XPLpic that lets you pin images to a world map. You can create journeys linking the locations.
@hivefest will be decentralised with presentations coming in from around the world as well as the gathering in Barcelona.

@sunsethunter put together a cool video where he performs all the vocal and guitar parts for a Blink-182 cover. The guy can sing.

I get that people come to Hive with hopes of earning something and with such a low threshold just about anyone can make something, but you should not really expect something for nothing.
Of course you are free to post what you want, but if you want to get decent rewards you need to be creating value in some way. That can be writing about your life experiences, but there is really only so much you can write unless you do a lot of different things. If you are posting photos then you ought to give some context. I see photos of everyday streets, but I have no idea of where they are or what might be interesting about them. This is especially true on the short form posts (Snaps, Waves etc). Just posting 'Good morning' is not really trying. By all means be sociable, but do not expect a vote for that.
We get a lot of game updates in Snaps (Hiveword and others), but I try to say something in mine about what is going on. The feeds are getting a bit flooded with these so we may need more filters.
I guess 'AI' content is part of this. I will not generally reward anything that lacks the human touch. Maybe you carefully crafted a prompt, but you could say something about that. I find a lot of generated images very generic and not interesting. Meanwhile we have actual artists on Hive who deserve more attention. I have featured plenty of those in these posts.
The issue of value applies to comments too. Generic responses that add nothing to the conversation will rank low. If I see you dumping loads of comments in quick succession then that implies you did not actually read the posts.
I do not downvote what I consider low value content, but others may so bear that in mind. Downvotes are part of the Hive curation system that tries to get rewards where they are earned, but it comes down to personal opinions and I have no real influence on what anyone else does with their votes.
I am under no illusions about the value of my own posts. I happen to have connected with a lot of people here and some are generous enough to give me votes. I would be happy for some of those votes to go to people I mention. Some of them are producing really professional writing, art and videos. That is what we need to attract more creators and a bigger audience to Hive. I will use my stake to reward what I consider to be good for the platform.
I always say that you should make Hive, and any social media, fun as you are unlikely to earn much from it, especially now. Be social and spread joy.
Due to some other commitments my regular monthly posts such as the #BritList and my solar report may get shifted a bit. I do not expect too many people will be upset by that. I am really just doing all this for my own amusement and would not want the pressure of having to create to a fixed schedule like some people.
In ten years I have racked up over 80k posts and comments. I can be a bit obsessive with things, but it is still fun and I have made a lot of friends here. I am not getting down about the price as I am sure enough people will stick with it.
