Description from Strava:
We are getting a nice run of sunny days for now. It will be freezing first thing, but soon warms up and that is great for my solar panels. So it was still frosty when I went out and I decided to do my newish loop out to Stotfold.
The sun was in my eyes along the new road until I reached the woods. I knew I would encounter a few kids going to school, but the paths were not too crowded. I really do not know or care too much what they think of this old man out running, but I do not want to be dodging crowds.
After the underpass I went off around the fields. That can be muddy, but it was all still frozen hard. That does mean it can be very uneven, but I had no issues. I tool the long way back to stretch out the distance to almost 7km and the pace was not bad. I even managed a personal record on one segment. I hope to make more progress on that this year.
Podcast listening included Infinite Monkey Cage on the science of altruism. That is something the world needs more of, at personal and global levels.
I had a peek at some of the ongoing building work around here. We will see lots of new houses soon. From my study I can see a big boring machine that may be used for foundations. I think it can all be a bit noisy for those who live nearby.
Run free and enjoy the sun.
