There are a lot of great #steemmoms,

and their hard work often goes unnoticed. This is the start of a new post series to spread some love around to all of the great parents we have here. Mondays will be for mothers, and Fridays for fathers. We will mostly be pulling these posts from the #steemmoms and #steemdads tags, so we encourage all parents to share their stories on these tags.

When school ends for the year, and your children are home for summer break, how do you keep them busy and learning? mummyimperfect@mummyimperfect is taking on the challenge with things like baking a cake on a rainy day, swimming trips, and time at the park!

Watching your children learn new things is a great experience. Seeing them use their imagination in new ways can be rewarding for both parties. horazwiwik@horazwiwik created a sweetshop playhouse for her children with nothing but cloth, pvc pipe, thread, and tape! It's an amazing project, and shows the kind of devotion some parents have for giving their children something to remember!

Sometimes, parenthood doesn't begin with child birth. Some people have so much love in their hearts that they take on the amazing responsibility of adopting children who need caring homes. thesimplelife@thesimplelife shares her story of being a foster parent, and the joy that can bring to a home and heart. As a former foster child, I, thatsweeneyguy@thatsweeneyguy, have the utmost respect for anyone willing to take on such a challenge. If you have experience with the foster care system, let her know what a great thing she's doing!

Parenting can come with great rewards, but can also make the stresses of life seem overwhelming. teamturnerlive@teamturnerlive knows all too well, but insists that one must gice themselves permission to feel joy. Anyone with children knows life can be daunting, but we all know we've got to keep our heads high for the ones who depend on us most.

The first SteemParents challenge has almost ended, but there's still time to enter! Let us know your favorite thing about parenting! A big thanks to sgnsteems@sgnsteems and inkdncurvy@inkdncurvy, who have already submitted entries!

We're still looking for donations to our cause. If you want to help support our curation effort, you can send donations directly or even delegate steempower to steemparents@steemparents, or, if you'd like to donate another form of cryptocurrency, comment below, and I'll reply with a deposit address.
~All donors will be added to a list, and your support will not be forgotten.~

A portion of the liquid reward for this post will be shared with the #steemmoms featured within.
