" Maybe we feel empty because we leave pieces of ourselves in everything we used to love. " -R.M.
Agony is a moment away from Bliss.
One good stab is all that it takes for your soul to bleed.
In that instant, all what’s inside you comes out of your system.
Silly you for thinking that the suffering was gone.
Don’t you remember that I come around when you least expect me?
I like to take away the most valuable thing you possess. Your inner peace.
I play my cards right so you never know what’s my next move.
All you know is that you’ll never get back that piece I took away from you.
I feel so alive. So blissful. So ecstatic. So grateful that I get to spend each of my days doing what I love most. Yet I feel so dead inside. So empty. So lonely.
My heart can overflow with inner peace while my soul can drown in utter sadness. At the same time.
You could stab me a thousand times, and I’d still hold your hand on my way up from the fall.
The destructive part of me would ask for one more stab. Because at least, for a split second, I’d be reminded that I’m worthy of your attention.
The rational part of me knows that this isn’t fucking rational.
But knowing isn’t enough. Knowing doesn’t prevent destruction. Knowing that heroin is bad for you doesn’t stop you from taking another hit, does it?
When hell feels like home, why risk throwing that unhealthy familiar comfort away?
Our subconscious knows all our weaknesses – and he knows how to bring them back to light.
You can light me on fire all you want, but you can’t take away my soul.
Its light will carry on forever. That’s the one piece of me that will always be mine.
No matter where life takes my soul, I know that it will always be filled with endless love and kindness to give.
