While having a trip down to Indian National Highway, you must comes across a number of Dhabas. A dhaba is a roadside eateries or restaurant that serves the local cuisine. These restaurant operates 24 hrs a day and always prepare to serve any number of customer at any given time. They are also a trucks stops who stop at these point to take rest or for their food.
Todsy, I went out to one in my locality especially to take lunch. What more I threshing about these Dhabas is their ready to serve attitude. They keep their food ready all the time and to keep the visitors, they keep it attractive.
Well for them there is no other to decorate their place than using all kinds of veggies. All of them were kept at the front counter to pull more visitors. Looking at these fresh vegetable many visitors visit these place hoping to get some fresh foods.
They also keep some ready to eat snack, which can easily be warmed before serving. While the spicy vegetable dishes are kept in the utensils, the snacks are kept in front counter. Let awake a dip at some of them.
Kachori. These are oil fried and stuffed with some mixes, may be sattu (gram flour) or stuffed potatoes. These are served with green chutney or potatoes gravy syrup dish.
Bhature Another oily stuff to crave. This is combination that is served with Choley I.e white peas.
Puri Deep oil fried wheat chapati. It is common in many Indian home. And one of the most loved item for kids.
Apart from all these,snacks items, they are ready to prepare any kind of dish that the customers want. And that why place is always full with fresh veggies. Most of these dhabas serves vegetarian food and on special demand they prepare Non-Veg food as well.
Another noticeable thing is you will a burning coal stove whole day. While it is a bliss during winter , as people can easily warm up their hands, these dhabas remain ready to heat any dish or cook any dish within time. They doesn't let the customers to wait for long.
Today, I went their especially their food. The one in my vicinity is very popular for their lunch and I Ordered one special plate that has 4 chapati, 2 vegetable curry, 1 fries, little bit of rice.
These Dhabas are actually the lifelines of the road transport and for the truckers who cover long distances. They serve them with food and stopping place. They do not have any name but still very popular destination for food lovers.
