A train delay, allow me to enjoy some fast food in a local restaurant during the lunch time. The restaurant is a new built place in the town area. Infact it is a move to make rural people accustomed to luxury lifestyle. Which I belive going to be very challenging. As people in rural set up prefer to enjoy a simple private lifestyle with economical need.
As I get some spare time, I preferred to get into city life by craving on some of the dishes or getting into my city lifestyle zone like of earlier year
Fast foods are not so favpur3d in my area, as people.are happy to enjoy home cooked meals or dishes. This restaurant is really trying to woo the localities by offering good services. It was built above a local sweet shop and have and AC establishment. My visit was well greeted like the Indian culture. Which was completelly unexpected. I was offered a table and a water bottle of MI eral water and menu card placed in front of me.
Getying inside and sitting inside thr place took me to the Delhi time. I was reminded of so many such encou ter in big restaurants set up. I asked for their speciality, and they said every dishes were made with utmost care and served with complete taste. I ran theough the menu , it has all variety, from veg item, North India to South India, to non veg item, Chinese Manchurian, noodles and many beverages.
As I have little time to spend their, I ordered Masala Dosas which can be quickly made and is not that big and heavy for tummy. I looked around the place to see the atmosphere. It was nicely decorated with ceiling lights and balloons with dishes photographs hanging to the walls.
As I said, restaurant culture is not so favorable in rural lifestyle, the entire restaurant was empty. Infact I was only one during the lunch time around 12.PM. My dishes was served in an instant time.
It was a thin crunchy baked bread called dosas and made up of lentils and rice. This item is stuffed with messed potato, capsicum, onion and beet root veggies. I liked the stuffing inside, it was spicy and tasty. The doses is always been served with sambar and coconut chutney
Wherever you visit in India, this item is always been found and served likewise. A little crispy flat bread and accompanied with chutney and sambar. This is the best combo and good light dish favoured by many Indians. I did exactly the same, before boarding the train. The price was not as high as you will find in any big restaurant. For a dollar amount I had a good meals. And I relish it completelly after many years.
This is kind of my good #marketfriday memory for @dswigle.
