The Ultimate Steem Onboarding Platform

Hello Steemit! I am the account of the Ultimate Steem Onboarding Platform. My goal is to introduce as many new people to Steemit as possible and get them comfortable with crypto and Steemit ASAP. While there is a sort of "Welcome" FAQ center hacked together on Steemit.com and many bots/forums that claim to help minnows, there is no platform dedicated to TEACHING new users how to use Steem and EDUCATE them on what is really going on. @robertdurst10 is beginning to spearhead this project, but is looking for help!

Overview

Here is an overview of what I believe to be the tool that will help Steem gain mainstream adoption...

THE ULTIMATE STEEM ONBOARDING PLATFORM

I will briefly summarize the problem being addressed and my proposed solution.

Problem

The cryptocurrency market cap is nearly $100,000,000,000 and everyday more and more people are jumping down the rabbit hole into the world of crypto. Let's consider the four types of people who own cryptocurrency:

1. The techy guy. Always on the fringe of cutting edge technology, gets some crypto to feel like a part of the movement.
2. The finance guy. Excited by the volatility of crypto, finds crypto more fun than trading stocks.
3. The drug dealer. Anonymous transactions + Tor = Drug Dealing Paradise.
4. The other guy. There are a few reasons this guy would join:

• By accident. On a youtube binge he ended up watching a "Dogecoin is the future!" video and now he is intrigued.
• A friend told him this is the next big thing. So he invested $1000 on blind faith into ETH, BTC and STEEM.
• He has heard of the get rich quick stories and dreams of being the next Bitcoin Billionaire.
• Just because.

Here, notice the first guy, the second guy, and the third guy all have motives and goals for why they joined and what they will do with crypto. The fourth guy does not. He isn't entirely sure what cryptocurrency is, he is a little uneasy because it seems like made up funny money, and he has NO IDEA what to do with it.

Problem Statement: If cryptocurrency is going to gain mainstream adoption, it must appeal to the other guy.

Solution

I imagine an onboarding process into the crypto world that educates people how crypto works, makes them comfortable with crypto, then gives them an outlet to use their crypto. My perfect onboarding process is:

1. An overview of blockchain
2. An overview of cryptocurrency
3. How to invest
4. How to securely store your crypto
5. What to do with your crypto

Solution Statement: To appeal to the other guy, the crypto world must develop an onboarding process offering a brief, yet comprehensive overview of crypto, and a clear, natural outlet to use crypto.

How I Will Accomplish This aka THE MASTERPLAN

1. A Platform that encompasses the following:
   a) An Intuitive, Step-by-Step tutorial/walk-through with a clean, minimal GUI
   b) A short, yet comprehensive lesson on blockchain/cryptocurrency
   c) An easy to follow lesson on Steemit
   d) A visual and interactive demo of Steemit functions/activities
   e) A marketplace of RELEVANT applications that accept Steem and work with the Steem blockchain

2. A product that makes the Steem user experience more like that of USD/Bitcoin/ETH
   This is THE outlet to use Steem, making it a "currency" in the most natural sense. Currently there are really only two ways to use your Steem, power up or sell. I envision a markeplace of applications where you can use Steem like you can use USD.
