A challenge I've had since not working is that every day is pretty much the same as the last. All too often I completely lose track of where I am. However, the first part of today had many ingredients of a pre-lockdown Saturday and its been great!
It started off with a lovely walk on the beach so Lola could meet up with her friends. The format these days is a little different as her pal "Big Molly" ... as opposed to her other pal "Little Molly", is getting on a bit and can't walk as far. I tend to arrive 30 minutes earlier so we can south along the dunes to to then head north along the beach. We tend to meet Big Molly on the home straight.
The sky was pretty lovely as always and it is relatively calm today in comparison to yesterday. Yesterday was a new experience with hot (for us) weather of around 25c but with 50mph winds. Was great for drying the washing!
Once back, I popped to the local supermarket to get my stepdads paper. I was a little naughty whilst there as I picked up some smoked salmon and eggs. Younger daughter loves this for her breakfast, as do I, so we enjoyed a breakfast treat!
We felt like pigs afterwards so went on a bike ride along a promenade which I think is part of the sea defences. Youngest did pretty well considering how tiny her bike is. We took a photo at the turn around point which is around 1.5 miles from home ... it was all up hill heading back. She has decided we should double the distance next time.
