Lately, I haven't been writing like I've been used to. The amount of extra activities that popped up in my life has taken their toll. It's hard to write when you're running all over the place to do this and that. It's hard to write when you can't think of writing.
It's really hard just to stay at the desk at write. My mind seems to flow somewhere else.
This is when I realised that you can't force creativity. With all the goals and plans you can make, if it's not there it's not. You may want to write 1000 words a day, but if they can't come out, what you can do about it? Especially if you can't spend all your time doing this.
I'm not an full time writer. I write here and there when I have the time. And if in the time I scheduled myself to write, the words won't come out, what can I do about it? Virtually nothing. Because I have other things to do.
Until there is a breakout in my life, and I will have the freedom that I want, writing is something I have to when I can. And to hope that at that time, the words will want to come out.
What do you do when you don't feel creative?
