Young Royals is a Swedish romantic drama that premiered in 2021 on Netflix. It has 2 seasons and they are currently filming the third and final season.
The protagonists of Young Royals are Wilhelm, the second son heir to the throne played by Edvin Ryding, and Simon, a normal boy played by Omar Rudberg.
The series begins when Wilhelm is sent to Hillerska, a prestigious boarding school where his older brother and his mother studied. At the boarding school Wilhelm meets Simon, a scholarship boy who attends the boarding school to take care of his sister and who lives in the nearby town.
Wilhelm falls in love with Simon on the first day of school when Simon sings at the opening ceremony of the school period, and from that moment we see how he discovers his feelings and the way in which their romantic relationship develops.
Unfortunately, his relationship with Simon doesn’t last that long, since his duty as a prince and everything he has been taught stands between them and doesn’t allow them to have a normal relationship.
In the second season we see how Wilhelm and Simon mature and decide the kind of people they want to be. They accept that the fact that Wilhelm is a prince brings great consequences and responsibilities and decide to take matters into their own hands.

Lastimosamente su relación con Simon no dura tanto tiempo, ya que su deber como príncipe y todo lo que le han enseñado, se interpone entre ellos y no permite que puedan tener una relación normal.
En la segunda temporada vemos como Wilhelm y Simon madura y van decidiendo el tipo de personas que quiere ser. Aceptan que el hecho de que Wilhelm sea príncipe trae grandes consecuencias y responsabilidades y deciden tomar el asunto en sus manos.
