All he does is destroy money.

I took some time to talk to Mariano and asked about his work. He starts with an idea of what stays and what will end up as saw dust. Then he drills for a place to start his saw. He later cuts and polishes the coins for sale.

He took this commemorative coin and made it better. It commemorates the 200 year anniversary of Argentinean independence.

Now all of these are pendants for someone to wear on a necklace.

All of North America and South America both were filled with natives when the colonists set sail.

I will let this coin speak for itself.

The craft of cutting around all of the feathers is exquisite, as is our next coin with the leaves outlined using a jewelers saw.

As with the match lady, I am offering to ship any of these works anywhere if anyone would like to spend their steem on something like this.

I am not a fan of facebook but I told Mariano that I would post his page when I get this out.

If you still post for free over on basefook, he should be searchable under Mariano Monedas.

There may be one more of these posts - I have more photos of coins that are carved up in all sorts of ways.

Stay tuned, I am still mulling over whether or not to post my son's first time at the shooting range. If I decide to post it, you will see it soon.
