以前在国内，学校里的英文写作教学都是片段的。我现在重新学习一下。先从美国学生用的写作教科书里摘抄一些基本的东西，弥补一下可能的空白。
There are some basics to writings:
The whole process can be divided into five phases: pre-write, write, revise, edit and publish. To be a better writer, you start with great ideas, make your words and sentences easy to follow, sound as if you are really interested in your topic, choose the best words, use sentences that are comfortable to read (fluency), and follow the rules for writing.
A sentence is a group of related words and it states a complete thought in a correct order. A paragraph is a group of sentences about the same topic.
The categories of writings include.
1.Descriptive writing: describe from the sense (hear, smell, see, taste, and touch) on the details (small facts) to CREATE A PICTURE in reader's mind.
2.Narrative writing: you share a story about something that really happened. In a personal narrative, you write a story about something you did. SInce you chose a special time, you could use time-order words to make it more clear.
3.Expository writing: you share information about something or explain how to do something. You write all the step in order.
4.Persuasive writing: you share your opinion and reasons why others should agree with you and try to convince others.
5.Creative writing: you use words and imagination to write stories and poems. Stories can be fiction (not real) stories or non-fiction stories. A story should include characters, settings, problems, and plots.
6.Report writing: you share factual information and what you have learned about a topic.
