original date June 16, 2026. I started daily documentation of my adventure on another platform but wish to bring it over to Hive. Since I am only 10 days behind, I will be back posting every 12 hours until I am caught up. If I was any more behind, I would scrap it; but my OCD is telling me that I need the whole chronology on here

What’s better than moving!?

Moving with broken ribs!

On the last stretch of moving out of my apartment, I managed to break some ribs in a very dumb manner. The weekend push was absolutely horrid. I couldn’t sit, stand, breathe, cough, laugh, fart… you name it. lol.

BUT I had no choice but to push through it. I was being threatened by eviction etc and I don’t think my landlord would’ve given a rat’s ass about any excuses I had. Additionally, I myself was so desperately ready to move on.

I wrote a bit about it on here the other day but my phone storage was full so I guess that caused my Safari to glitch so it wouldn’t save the draft and copy/paste proved worthless? My phone was being quite dramatic and just wasnt having it. And, considering I had done so within 24 hours of needing to be out, I just scrapped it. Oopsie poopsie. Lesson learned.

But… I’M OUT!!

I stayed up all night Sunday painfully packing the last of my things and hauling them to my car. I had to pull an overnight due to the storage unit facility I have a unit in only being accessible 5am-11pm and I had two trips to make. 4:30 in the morning came about and my injured ass crawled into the car and headed south for trip number one. I’m glad no one was there that early because I definitely yelled in pain quite a bit dropping stuff off in a big pile in the little 5x8 room. The second trip was loaded into the car, and I dropped off the keys and set off in my temporary home; my Subaru.

I say temporary because I think I am going to upgrade to something larger. I love my car immensely and it has enough room for me and my stuff- but not enough room to keep things organized in a reasonable way. I know from camping in it before things get lost and buried and wet and dirty far too easily. Not to mention the fact that crawling in and out of the trunk and remaking the makeshift bed every day is EXCRUCIATING with my abdomen right now.

Regardless, I drove down to Oregon and spent the night by one of my favorite volcanoes 🥰 And now on day two of my journey into the unknown, I drove to Portland to do a little work and hopefully look at some vans or other rigs.

The emotions right now are fairly volatile; mainly due to the injury and some dental issues I have going on. I have developed some pretty severe tooth problems stemming from a skateboarding incident in my teens. Everything was fine for about a decade, but poor dentistry finally caught up to me and the teeth they put back in (poorly) have begun to shift and cause all sorts of problems.

On the other hand, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt so free. I’m not new to this, but I haven’t been truly living on the road since pre-COVID. I have a lot of confidence in my ability to focus on my health, both physical and mental, from here on out. It turns out trying to live a conventional life as a single person in my 30’s turns me into a self destructive monster.

That’s all for now! I have to continue putting this shit together! Much love to all
