Gran Turismo 5 gameplay 03-16

Figuring out which cars are going to work best for some of the more tougher races. Since I do not win as many cars in the later GT series it seems you really must save your credits and spend wisely. Sometimes I have to buy a car and upgrade it, that does not always work out so well though as the cars can become nearly drivable.

Playing through both GT5 and GT6 I have enjoyed all the series and special races. Looking forward to the next series of GT games being playable on emulator.

Starting off this gameplay segment I enter one of the light weight races.

I drive this old Honda, but I upgraded it.

A tiny car, not even 60HP and weighs 510kg.

On my first lap of it being modded I noticed the car has not shifting right. So I checked the settings to see if something was a miss.

Ended up I needed an upgraded "sport" transmission, that changed the car night and day.

Quickly I found myself near the leader, previous to this I could barely keep up. That transmission made all the difference.

Getting gold I am close to leveling up, sometimes I win cars that way.

Though by finishing the lightweight cup I won a van.. haha

Going back to one of my favorite rally cars, its old but really light weight. I try it out in one of the retro super car races.

Even before we hit the starting line cars are trying to pass me, and they just fly by me on the first straight away. I try to dive in but do not get very far on the hole shot.

They start pulling a big gap on me, and it seems like this will not be the car I need to beat this race.

Checking out some other races, I see what kind of car I would need to buy to win. Buying a Lambo wont be cheap unless I find one in the used car lot.

Since I already had a Ferrari I did a race car series, and man its tough. I am not sure if this street super car is up for the challenge.

Seems like these race cars can out brake me, out handle me and are just about as fast. Making it hard to find places to gain on them.

I hold second but first is just gaining too far on me to make any chance of passing them.

One of the racing RX8's get past me, and seems like I am just holding up traffic. A bunch of cars behind me and the leader is just so far away. Its okay maybe I will find a special car to do some of these races. In the mean time I can play some of the special events, and get more licenses.
