Herbal tea a free write prompt by
"I have a headache darling, can you please cut down the music?" I moaned. My husband looked at me with pitiful eyes, muttering under his breath, "I am sorry why didn't you tell me so earlier?"
I have no energy to answer the question and I give him a wry smile, my eyes weary with pain is almost closed. My sinusitis is at play once again. Mornings have been cooler these days and I was up in the garden enjoying the songs of the birds and the chattering of the squirrels not caring noticing the cold air blowing about and now, this headache is killing me.
As I recline on the couch barely paying attention to anything around me, I hear him saying, "here is your tea, drink it up it will help you."
I lift the golden liquid to my mouth and smell the freshness of the ginger in my tea the air passages widen with relief. This is exactly what I need I think. Herbal tea for my headache. I notice the color is a bit more reddish than the usual ginger tea. I realize it is hibiscus tea with ginger.
The warmth of the tea, the sharpness and heat of the ginger and the sweetness of the hibiscus all make me feel better already.
I greedily drink it up and I sigh with pleasure as I place the mug back on the table.
It's time to close my eyes and take a power nap, the world will be a better place when I wake up.
Thanks to the herbal tea.
