An Empty Idea
The traveler, exhausted by adversity, did not stop. Gloomy cliffs ominously hung over his left, a bottomless abyss gaping to his right. Only a narrow rocky path steeply went up to an unknown peak. The traveler was fairly tired, often stumbled, sometimes fell, but with desperate determination, despising acute pain, stubbornly climbed to the top from where he hoped to see something. He did not pay attention to danger, cold loneliness, step by step, stubbornly approaching the peak of far-fetched well-being.
Obsessed with a thirst for unchallenged power and unlimited wealth, a man cautiously walked along the unreliable ledges of a siliceous trail. Slippery stones popped out from under their feet, tore off their usual place and, bouncing high, rushed down with a roar.
Being in danger of falling into the abyss, he met meter by meter over the path chosen, fortunately.
The backpack is heavy with every step. Swaying and sliding, the bale dragged the traveler from an empty venture back to the fragrant valley, where the meadows bloom under the gentle sun, where people live on earthly concerns, but the traveler, risking everything in the world, stubbornly moved to the summit of happiness invented by him.
Not a tree, not a bush, not a blade of grass. Cold cliffs, silence, and the icy wind of the mountain desert piercing to the bones more and more harmed him. He seemed ridiculous and awkward, but no matter how hard it was for him to go, it was even more difficult to assure himself that it was an empty idea to seek bliss where he was not and never was.
