When the stabilizer sends HIVE back to the DHF, that implicitly gets converted HIVE->HBD so that is another mechanism that adds to the explicit conversion transactions. Currently that is around 100K

You're forgetting the price was lower. 25 million HIVE @ 0.4 = 10 million HBD. Not all was converted at 0.4 since the price has been rising. Some more probably powered up or held.

The price of HIVE used to be lower so it was more than 2 HIVE per HBD and a month ago the HBD supply was 10 million, 20 million now, so 10 million has been added.

Sometimes when HBD is undervalued, you would get less than $1 by selling it, but can get about $1 by converting it. In those situations you are better off by converting and it also does help to reduce

Concur. @steevc if you convert right now you will get about $1 of HIVE per HBD, but if you sell you will get about $1.20 worth of HIVE. As long as this persists you should sell instead of convert to avoid
