Sometimes when HBD is undervalued, you would get less than $1 by selling it, but can get about $1 by converting it. In those situations you are better off by converting and it also does help to reduce the excess supply by converting. In either circumstance you can do the most good by doing what is best for you (selling vs. converting), no need to make any sacrifices.
