Daddy explained his name in a post last night so before I forget, I figured I should do the same. I think it is nice to remember why one has the name they have and how the parents came to choose it. So just in case if for any reason I don't remember, I will add mine on the blockchain.
Names all have meanings, even if they don't because when parents name their little bubs, they generally have an idea in mind why that name. Some are inherited, some made up and some are common words transformed. Does a name have an effect on how some one behaves? I don't know, ask daddy. My name comes from nature.
You all know my name already, even though you may not have realised it. No, Smallsteps is my Steemit name but in the header of my profile you may have seen three hearts. That is me, Ava.
As said, names all mean something but not necessarily what they were intended to mean. Ava itself means life and this is why daddy likes it but mummy likes it because it comes from Aava (the Finnish form) which also means an open stretch of water or land. Daddy likes that meaning too, a place with room to learn and grow, a place for life to be lived.
They say our name is the most important word we know because it is one that will always draw our attention, but I am unsure how important it really is when it comes down to it. Perhaps the only thing that should ever be able to always draw our attention is, love.
Names can change, names can be forgotten, names can be destroyed, whereas love is always unconditional. That would make love more than an open space as it has no boundaries. That means love is much, much larger than little me and it means I am always within it.
