Here are a few summer scenes from the lake for this #wednesdaywalk by 
First we start out with the parking attendant. This must be this young robin's first job. Please don't park here sir, there will be a $200 fine and a tow fee.
Right by the lake I discovered a bit of death. Turtles live forever so I wonder what this one died of... Maybe just old age or a heron might have managed to gut it and leave the rest here to be eaten by smaller critters.
Fortunately nearby I found a mother turtle laying eggs to replace the one that died.
You can't see it but there was quite the crowd of spectators surrounding her as she laid eggs. I also notice a strange dent in her shell like maybe she had a run in with a boat or something in her past.
Now for a bit more death. Some poor raccoon decided to kick the bucket in the lake... Maybe it died of a heat stroke just as it made it to the water, who knows, pretty gross the turtles and fish were picking at it too.
This fisherman didn't seem to mind that there was a gross bloated raccoon just around the corner lol. I caught a big one!!! Then he hauls up a bloated raccoon lol.
The bugs are out in full force around the lake. The make some nice shiny sparkles in the sunlight. The chimney swifts and barn swallows love it around here, now I know why.
I think a coyote or fox managed to catch one of the Canadian geese. Or maybe it died of something else. Again the turtles and fish were feasting on it from under the water, ewwwww.
One of the red winged blackbirds seemed perturbed about the dead goose floating around his territory. Oomph the smell, and I just moved here.
Hey human put yourself to good use and call the cleanup crew.
The rabbits are nice and healthy this year as it seems to be a low tick and flea season. I don't even see anything going on in its ear, it almost looks like a clean domesticated rabbit. Usually you can see at least a few ticks in the ear around this time. I guess that's why they call them vermin lol.
