Here is my second try at alcohol markers and its still a work in progress for this #trippythursday

A terrible Oni is hiding in the forest hoping to capture a lost hiker.

1000002083.jpg
The only problem is this thing is so evil it can't help but laugh maniacally. Thus no one ever ventures into this forest after hearing such a creepy laugh.
1000002081.jpg
The Oni's third eye can see them on the edge of the forest but will never be satisfied at goring an unsuspecting hiker.
1000002079.jpg
Thus it is doomed to starve forever in this forest while it continues its evil laughter.

1000002084.jpg
Now it is hatching a new plot in its pea brain that mostly just connects to this third eye.

1000002082.jpg
If it can just refine its crazy laugh to something more normal sounding perhaps it can lure people into the forest who think there is a drunken party going on...

1000002077.jpg
It does its best to laugh like those at a drunken party even though it strains its pea brain to do so. It's third eye actually went blind while attempting this.

1000002080.jpg
Finally some late night revelers think there is an after party and they venture into the dark forest. The Oni's teeth begin gnashing.

1000002078.jpg
It gores the first guy with its fancy armored horns.

1000002075.jpg
Then it shows its face to the rest of the partiers and they just instantly have heart attacks while seeing its face. Now the Oni can feast on their souls and survive a few more millenia. Unfortunately a building project is planned for its forest and the contractor is bringing a priest, a Buddhist and various other religious leaders to expel it back to hell where it belongs. Soon its haunted forest will be replaced by a corporate bank. Perhaps if the Oni is smart it can just apply and become a loan officer at this bank and feast on delinquent clients.

I still need to add line weights and a bit more color shading then black out the background. This no bleed marker paper is a trip as well because you can't really see the true color of the marker until it dries after 5 minutes or more. Thus you end up coloring things blind then have to adjust later once its dried. Next time I'll just stick to regular bleeding paper.

More soon, hopefully Mr. Oni will be finished next week.
