I am alive again! After a month again, yeah XD I'm so sorry, I really tried my best but it's inktober again and I really wanted to be here for this one at least because I wait for this yearly and alaays make attempts despite never actually finishing ;;w;; but oh well, gotta give myself A or effort because it's been getng harder to make time for myself as my position at work rises.
It's October 1st and naturally the first day of another gruesome attempt atfinishing all the prompts. This year, I'm really hopeful because I don't have anything planned for October, no major work events to look out for and certainly no trips planned so I have a month just to myself and my craft.
Starting strong, Day 1's prompt is Apple and I took inspiration from poison apples for this since I really wanted to be a little edgy again after being softfor quite a while.
Duration: A broken 6 hours because I had to wait for ink to dry ever few layers XD
Materials: liquid green and black ink, colored pens, neon pens
I personally think this is a good start to this year's inktober and very edgy though it's too early to call it a favorite but I like this one quite so ^^ it gives me back my edgy.
For my progress, I started off with a green layer then I built my pen layers up from yellow, orange and red.
Eventually I did add a green layer for the poisonous goo coming out of the apple and since I'm still practicing my pen theory, I also used green to do th shading since it makes red go dark but I also used a deep brown pen just to solidify the shading a little since it was still a little too light for my tastes.
Ithen added a layer of back ink and that kinda delayed my progress because I had to wait for it to dry then it was like this on an on and off thing for most o my day XD
So after that ink layer, I finally had the chance to use the new neon pens my friend gave me for my birthday and it was soooo fun because it made my apple look really glowy
So used a green neon base because it was the least glowy one, then yellow and pink for accents then I finished off with white to give it that shiny finish. I also did one last black ink layer for more depth.
And after questioning the process many times and asking if it actually looked good, it finally did XD
And so I concluded that maybe the process does know we trust it XD
And that has been my tumultuous day 1 of inktober XD because I really wanted to come back strong.
I hope to see artists doing inktober too w because I am gonna do my best to be supportive of everyone's inktober journey.
For now, this is all from me!
