A fugitive from justice is on the loose today.
A news helicopter is on the search for the infamous mango thief in the area.
They asked known associates of the mango thief and they had nothing to say.
Instead they referred reporters and authorities to their lawyer who was in the pocket just up the tree. The lawyer said no questions until there is a warrant.
Even the younger brother of the infamous mango thief couldn't be bribed with a tempting walnut reward.
The mother of the thief assured authorities that her son is an upstanding member of the community and goes to church every Sunday while helping out on community projects...
The duck mother said she witnessed the thief in action just yesterday and pointed investigators in the right direction.
The culprit likes to hide in the grass waiting for the next mango shipment.
As the mangos get delivered to the store the truck driver sets them on this picnic table. That's when the sneak likes to strike.
Just a quick hop up to the seat to check for anyone watching. Then its up to the table to grab the loot.
Its easier to gorge on the goods right there on the spot rather than try and stash them before people notice.
Oh no someone has spotted me... I better fade off into the grass before getting caught. Fortunately the news helicopter caught the trail of the suspect and tracked him back to his mom's basement. Now they will both face charges from the squirrel high council. They will most likely be sentenced to three days in the owl forest... If they survive they can return to squirrel society...
The owls love squirrels fattened up on mango. We'll see how long they survive their sentencing...
