The Asian woman wearing blue in this picture made an inexplicable front dive right in front of me. Inexplicably, as we were riding at medium speed in the bike lane, her feet rose above her body as she held on to her handle bars. This wasn't extreme gymnastics, it was a very spectacular accident live, perhaps the most spectacular accident I have ever seen. I was right behind her.
After she fell to the ground, I stopped and just blocked the lane and watched for traffic. 3 or 4 women came quickly to her assistance and picked her up. She didn't appear too badly hurt. They pulled her bike to the side and started looking at what was wrong with her bike. Look carefully there is a lesson in this for every cyclist.
