In a previous post I talked about those who are over 80 years of age and probably much fitter than you or me are right now or ever.
I always find it so inspiring to meet and see older people who challenge old age norms and show us what's really possible going into our older stage of life.

Honestly I do believe that age "ain't nothing but a number" but unfortunately it seems the majority in our society are extremely ageist when it comes to the elderly doing or trying many things.
There are those who moan about going to the gym and then there are those over 65 who get up and go for it, yes I'am referring to the old generation here who could put us to shame at your own local Gym.
There's a handful of people aged 80 and over who are putting most of us all to shame with their impressive fitness and the lives they chose to continue pursuing.
Next time you’re feeling crappy or sorry for yourself think of people like Charles Eugster 97 who is the bodybuilder and sprinter or Madonna Buder who is 86 nicknamed "The Iron Nun" she was 75 when she first became the oldest woman to ever complete an Ironman triathlon, then at 82 she set a world record as the oldest Ironman triathlon competitor.

I also mentioned Diana Green 82 not only did she manage to survive the horrors of breast cancer but also on her 82nd birthday she ran the 2016 London Marathon!
But there are also others who are even older then say Diana or Charles, others like Ella Mae Colbert who is 100 years old.
Ella has been running the track since her school days and actually failed on her first attempt, but as you can imagine she didn't give up and so she actually managed to smash the previous record's for 100-year-old runners with 46.791 seconds crossing the line.
Yoga Masters?
Jean Dawson is one woman who will put many of those practising yoga to shame.
Jean for over 30 years as dedicated herself to yoga and so has been bending and twisting her body almost every week for the past three decades.
This is despite initially Jean suffering from a slipped disc in her back that caused her much pain but said that doing yoga really helped her cope with the situation as it changed her life and helped cure those aches and pains.

Lastly there is Robert Marchand 105 and honestly this guy on a bike looks so calm and collective, I have never seen anything like it.
Oh yes whoops the intro got carried away there, yes so Robert Marchand is a French cyclist aged 105 who as set a world record on his bike covering 14.08 miles in one hour.
Yet apparently he feels he can still do better.
Haha so modest isn't he?

They will always be inspiring people as we get older to admire and think that maybe we can still do what we enjoy for a little-bit longer.
