Tried something new, made a large swathe of moon shape in charcoal on the background reference layer to see what happens when I activate the colorize feature. Came out kind of grayish instead of a white ghost-like effect I was hoping for. Next time it would probably be best to leave it blank then just airbrush the moon symbol in the air later over the color image.
Anyway, tiefling cleric of the moon goddess for all you D&D fans.

Here's the B&W reference layer that I used with that moon shadow on the "background" layer, although not really part of the background.
