That's a lot of work in this panel! Five and a half people on a bench being carried by another full person. That's almost as many people as there are in the title page!
If I were a professional illustrator, if the comic writer came to me with this page layout, I would have countered with, "You know, to really express Miss Victory's disbelief, maybe we should just have an extreme close-up of her face, and maybe have ankles from two different people dangling in front of her..." You know... DRAMA! Drama also equates to less drawing, but that is simply a serendipity.
And FLYING blind?? That has to be a lot harder than walking blind. Seriously, if you're not touching the ground, how do you even know which way is up? I guess carrying the bench in this instance actually helps, it's like a balance pole that a tightrope walker carries.
Also, anyone know where Miss Victory's mutter came from, "I have no response to that." It's a famous line from a volcano movie!
