For those unfamiliar with the Savage Lands, it's a hidden place in the Arctic (Antarctic) circle heated by underground volcanoes and there are dinosaurs there. Also it has a supernatural ability to destroy airplanes and women's clothing.
The X-Men spent a lot of time there, and I think it's where Magneto hooked up with Rogue. I'm not sure, didn't do much comic reading past the 90's.
