Growing up was fun, full of life and enjoyment. My dad works with one of the biggest building construction company in town, He was the General manager of the great firm and then I was just like (O.B.O 馃槂馃槂 omo baba olowo) the son of the rich man. My primary and secondary school was a hit back to back, why? Because I would carry anything I like to school and also go with a whole lot of cash...
I had alot of female friends not because am handsome or brilliant but because i had enough money to spend on them and even without feeling that I had spent... I had a great number of friends then in school especially female friends... I was a cheerful giver anyways, I would gladly give to anyone that come to me for help.
It continued in this manner till my second year in the University.
The owner of the company where my dad works happened to be a politician. But, it was that particular time where he could no longer secure a place in power, things began to down gradually, it got to a point where he had to reduce his number of staff because he could no longer pay their salaries. My dad too was affected, the company could no longer afford to pay him his full salary. But still he had to focus and keep pushing as there are lots of responsibilities for him to handle.
Gradually, The big man's son spirit in me started dying gradually, as my dad also could no longer afford to send money as usual.
It continued like that for a year and after, the company fold up completely. BACK TO SQUARE ONE
As if that was not enough, my dad's health start deteriorating, the sickness was just too much that almost all his savings was spent on the illness. Thank God he survived but, the story was not the same again. It was then that my eye opened wide and I see that life atimes is all man for himself. I had to carry my cross and strive hard to become a successful man, at a time in school I would engage myself in serving at parties and events. I really work my ass out to graduate from the University.
Fortunately, during my service year I managed to learn an advanced computer science course (web development). The course I learnt then was part of what gave me the privilege to secure the job am on at the moment.
Life thought me not to be dependent on anyone, I depend on my dad's wealth but it failed me.
But all thanks to God now who helped me become a better person.
In life, run your race don't depend on anyone.
