It's another day to share something from my everyday life here on Hive. This time, I want to share something simple but important to our household. I'm grateful that our old electric meter has finally been replaced with a new one! 😊
As you can see, the new meter is much easier to read. The numbers are big and clear, so checking the reading is now more convenient. We can see the numbers without having to struggle to understand what is displayed.
Having a properly working and readable electric meter is important because it helps us monitor our electricity consumption. Electricity is one of our basic household needs, and we use it every day. We need it for our lights, appliances, and other things that make our daily activities easier.
But with the high cost of electricity nowadays, we also need to be mindful of how much we consume. Every kilowatt-hour matters, especially when we are trying to manage our household budget.
For those who may not know yet, our electric service provider here is Leyeco 3. So, now you know that I am already living in Leyte and not in Cebu anymore! 😁❤️
I spent many years living and working in Cebu, so it became a second home to me. But life has brought me back to Leyte, where I am now staying with my parents.
Life here is different from my life in Cebu. There are many things I am adjusting to, and I have different responsibilities to attend to. Being back home also means I can spend more time with my parents and be with them when they need me. 😊❤
By the way, the reason why the electric meter was replaced because I decided to visit the Leyeco 3 office and talk to their customer service about our problem.
I explained that our electric meter was already too old and that we could hardly read the numbers showing our electricity consumption. I also showed them a picture of the old meter so they could see the condition for themselves.
Our old electric meter had become difficult to read. The numbers were no longer clear enough, and it was hard to see the reading properly. I started wondering how the electricity consumption was being checked and recorded when the numbers on the meter were already difficult to read.
I believe that when we experience a problem with a service we use, it is better to raise our concerns properly and ask for assistance.
I am glad that I went to their office and explained the situation. I appreciate that our concern was addressed and that the meter was eventually replaced.
Now, we have a new meter that is easier to read, and that is already a big improvement for our household. 😊❤
Electricity is another expense that we need to consider when budgeting our money. Aside from food, water, and other household necessities, we also have to prepare for our monthly electric bill.
Honestly, the rising cost of living is not easy for ordinary families like ours. We have to think carefully about where our money goes because there are many needs to provide for.
At present, one of our biggest concerns is my father's health. He needs his medications and regular care, and these expenses can be financially draining. We want to make sure he gets what he needs while also managing our other household expenses.
That is why every expense matters to us. We cannot simply ignore the electric bill because electricity is necessary, but we also need to be careful about our consumption.
With the new meter, it is now easier to check the numbers. Of course, having a new meter does not automatically mean our bill will become cheaper, but at least we can read the meter more clearly and monitor our consumption better.
