Five days from now, I’ll be celebrating my 39th birthday. I’m not expecting anything grand or extravagant. No big parties, no loud music, just something quiet, warm, meaningful and a simple celebration is more than enough for me. Honestly, spending it with someone special, having meaningful conversations, and sharing a good meal is already a blessing I’d be grateful for. ☺️🙏
As my birthday is fast approaching, I can’t help but remember how I celebrated it two years ago. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was one of those memories I still smile about. 😁 That time, I had a simple but awesome celebration with the one I once loved, my ex. 🤭
We decided to have an unlimited buffet lunch at Vikings in SM City Cebu. ☺️
We were walk-in customers, so we had to wait for our number to be called.
I still remember the excitement as we patiently waited, laughing and talking while standing outside. 🤭
Then finally, our number was up, and we went inside.
Vikings is heaven for food lovers! The buffet is a spread of unlimited dishes from different countries such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, American, and more. It felt like taking a quick trip around the world, but with a plate in hand. ☺️
I tried a bit of everything I liked such as fresh fruits, salad, shrimp tempura, some meat dishes, fish, seafood, sushi, and of course, dessert! Cakes, ice cream, and a little beer to complete the celebration. We had a good time. I didn’t eat everything, though, because there were just so many choices. ☺️
They also gave me a complimentary birthday mini cake with Happy Birthday Ria written on the plate. 🎂A complimentary treat from the buffet for birthday celebrants. ❤️
I didn’t eat it though, I was already too full! I took it home instead, the only item allowed to be taken out from the buffet. 😁
Just to be clear, I’m not sharing this because I miss my ex. 🤭 I’m just remembering a beautiful birthday moment and silently hoping that this year, I’ll have another simple yet meaningful celebration. Maybe with someone who will truly stay. 😁🙏
As I turn 39, I wish for peace in my heart, genuine love, good health, and continuous strength to face life. I hope that no matter how simple the day may be, I’ll still feel the warmth of being remembered, valued, and loved. 🙏🙏
