Hello beautiful foodies! Today I cooked chickpea curry for our lunch/ kadala curry. This flavourful dish is a popular viand in South India. It has a subtle, coconuty with the flavour and aroma of spices .

Today I am going to share how I cook my chick pea curry.

Ingredients:

Black chickpea 1 cup
Coconut 1/2 cup
Onion 1 big
Ginger garlic &turmeric
Curry leaves
Chili
Tomatoes

Spices

Cumin seeds
Coriander powder
Chili powder
Garam masala powder

Boil chickpea till soft. In here I used pressure cooker and was cooked by 5 whistles

Heat oil In a pan. Saute coconut for few minutes.

Add in onion, chili curry leaves and cumin seeds.

Add in ginger, garlic & turmeric paste

Continue sauteing till brown, the coconut should be roast well till brown but not toasted. Put in a very low fire.

Add in coriander, chili salt & garam masala powder. Mix

The coconut and masala are well cooked.
Transfer to blender.

Transfer to blender. Purée adding a little of water.

Add in puréed masala to chick pea.

Add in tomatoes. Put to lid. Continue to cook in low fire. Stir occasionally.

Chickpea curry is ready to eat.

Chickpea is a good source of protein and full of vitamins nutrients needed by the body. Including pulses lentils increases collagen in our body.
