Everyone has their favorite day. For some, it's the day they got married, and for others, it's a different day. The most beautiful day in my life was when I met my current wife, and the most cherished and emotional day was when I found out she was pregnant and that I would become a father. I will remember that day for the rest of my life.
I remember as if it were now when my wife told me she thought she was pregnant. We went for a check-up, and it turned out she was right. She came out of the doctor's office and said, "You will be a dad." I was overjoyed.
We waited a few months to tell everyone else because that's the custom where we're from. My wife's father has accurately predicted what everyone would have so far, and he predicted we would have a son, and he was right. After the birth, we celebrated for two days straight. I don't remember much of those days; everything is kind of a blur, haha, but it had to be done, as that's the custom here, and I think in other countries as well.
My wife was quite young, having just turned 19, but despite everything, we quickly adapted and, I believe, became the best parents a child could wish for. We had great support in taking care of the baby while we worked from my mom and also from my wife's sister, who is in the pictures with my wife.
Now he is already grown, 19 years old, but I still see him as a little baby through my eyes, even though he is a young man. But we also have another son who is 6 years younger than the older one and is 13 years old. He is a real athlete and is now our baby. Time flies, and every day, thank God, he is growing up more and more. Soon he will grow up and maybe move to another city like his older brother, but I hope not too far so we can see each other more often. After all, children are everything we have, and we would do anything for them.
Although I became a father at a young age and my wife a young mother, I don't regret a single second of how things turned out, and if I could turn back time, I would do it all the same again; I wouldn't change a thing.
