Iniciativa: ¡Vamos a pensar en zombies! / Initiative: Let's think about zombies! (SPA/ENG)
¡Un gran saludo a la zona de escalofríos! Como escritor en realidad estaba esperando conseguir una comunidad donde verter las cosas que posiblemente en otras comunidades no tengan cabida, porque muchas veces el horror y el terror, o más bien la vida, da lugar a hechos difíciles de digerir en los que creo que vale la pena pensar e incluso escribir para sacar de nuestros cerebros esos pensamientos intrusivos que aparecen de la nada.
¡Pero vamos al grano!
Me enteré de esta iniciativa al ver el post de un gran escritor que siempre ha conseguido hacerme sentir sus relatos, 
¿Cómo te imaginas que son los zombies?
A decir verdad, tengo implantado en mi mente el imaginario del universo de "The walking dead", pero hay ejemplos en la vida real de verdaderos zombies.
A lo mejor ya han visto o jugado the last of us. De ser así ya saben del hongo que es capaz de infestar el cerebro de una hormiga para manipularla, consumirla por dentro al mismo tiempo que la fuerza a seguir viva hasta que se vuelve un depósito de esporas que finalmente florece, desperdigando su infección a todas las demás.
¿Qué otros ejemplos hay? Tenemos al parásito "toxoplasma gondii" que obliga a su portador, los ratones, a desafiar su propio sentido de supervivencia para literalmente lanzársele a los gatos para poder ser consumidos y así poder depositar sus huevos dentro las heces del gato.
Cabe destacar de que somos la especie más numerosa o con menos depredadores en nuestro planeta. Toda aquella criatura que decida mutar para convertirse en nuestro depredador seguramente tendría la existencia asegurada durante miles de años y, honestamente, ¿quién hoy día no tiene un gato? ¡No sería un salto muy grande!
¿Cómo crees que reaccionarías si vieras un zombi?
Primero, seguramente observaría con mucha atención para dilucidar quién me está jugando una broma, de modo que probablemente sería una victima jaja. No creo que la primera opción de los primeros infectados sea darle un balazo en la cabeza un batazo sabiendo de lo popular que es el arquetipo zombie, así que lamentablemente los más neófitos seremos los más masticados.
Eso cambiaría si diera la casualidad de que me consiga a uno ya tomándose el desayuno con la cara llena de sangre. En ese caso, creo que pondría a prueba mi resistencia cardiovascular corriendo lo más fuertemente posible en la primera dirección que se me abra. Porque eso soy. Un niño súper valiente.
¿Cómo te imaginas que sería un apocalipsis zombi?
Como comentaba antes, simplemente el parásito de la toxoplasmosis se daría cuenta que los seres humanos son más numerosos y haría una prueba muy exitosa, salvo que por casualidad el primer zombie no fuera momificado a punta de plomo.
Creo que el covid nos debería llevar a pensar sobre este tema. Somos demasiados seres humanos y una fuente de alimento abundante. ¿Cuanto tiempo creen que tenemos?
Solo falta una infección sencilla en un centro comercial y un tiempo de incubación razonable y el mundo entero sufrirá las consecuencias.
¿Crees que en este mundo exista la posibilidad de que suceda un apocalipsis zombi?
Muchísima. Capaz la ciencia ficción le dio una buena idea a un científico loco trabajando para China, Rusia o Estados Unidos, como en el caso del MK Ultra. Quisiera creer que el mundo no es tan belicoso como entonces, pero viendo como en China tratan a su propia gente, no me parece loco considerar que hayan fabricado una "receta de película", porque honestamente, una guerra nuclear no les conviene a nadie. Es más practico simplemente liberar eso por un tiempo, encerrarse en un bunker hasta que la humanidad se haya reducido hasta tal punto que al salir puedas bailar con una ardilla.
Como te comentaba, un organismo como los que te describí solo necesita exponerse lo suficiente a un organismo para encontrar la manera de alimentarse de el. Eso en un laboratorio es más sencillo todavía, solo hace falta gente estúpida y lo suficientemente paranóica para tener la intención de hacerlo así que, como el mundo da evidencias de tener bastantes de ellas, honestamente me parece una posibilidad muy real y que ya existe en alguna parte, encerrado en un contenedor secreto de una nación de dudosa moralidad.
¿Qué harías si descubres que un familiar o un amigo cercano es un zombi?
Vamos a suponer que ya el apocalipsis zombie lleva tiempo transitando y que de algún modo me las he arreglado para sobrevivir con mi familia. Creo que pasados a ese punto ya me habría convencido de que la única manera de lidiar con el problema es apagando una vida.
Yo nunca le he hecho daño a nadie... ni mucho menos sé de anatomía. Creo que lo haría de una manera tan torpe y desastrosa que no creo que pueda borrarme esa imagen de la cabeza en lo que me queda de vida.
¿Quedarán psiquiatras vivos para tratarme?

As a writer, I was actually hoping to get a community where I could share things that may not have a place in other communities, because many times horror and terror, or rather life, gives rise to facts that are difficult to digest in which I think it is worth thinking and even writing to get those intrusive thoughts that appear out of nowhere out of our brains.

I found out about this initiative when I saw the post of a great writer who has always managed to make me feel his stories,
What do you imagine zombies are like?
To tell the truth, I have the imaginary universe of "The Walking Dead" implanted in my mind, but there are real life examples of real zombies.
Maybe you have already seen or played the last of us. If so, you already know about the fungus that is capable of infesting the brain of an ant to manipulate it, consume it from the inside while forcing it to stay alive until it becomes a deposit of spores that finally blooms, spreading its infection to all the the rest.
What other examples are there? We have the parasite "toxoplasma gondii" that forces its carrier, the mice, to defy their own sense of survival to literally throw themselves at cats in order to be consumed and thus be able to deposit their eggs in the cat's feces.
It should be noted that we are the most numerous species or with the fewest predators on our planet. Any creature that decides to mutate to become our predator would surely have its existence assured for thousands of years and, honestly, who today doesn't have a cat? It wouldn't be too big of a leap!
How do you think you would react if you saw a zombie?
First, I would probably watch very carefully to figure out who is playing a prank on me, so I would probably be a victim haha. I don't think the first option of the first witnesses is to hit them in the head with a bat, knowing how popular the zombie archetype is, so unfortunately the most neophytes will be the most chewed.
That would change if I happened to find one already eating breakfast with a face full of blood. In that case, I think I would test my cardiovascular endurance by running as hard as possible in the first direction that opens up to me. Because that's what I am. A super brave boy.
What do you imagine a zombie apocalypse would be like?
As I mentioned before, the toxoplasmosis parasite would simply realize that human beings are more numerous and would carry out a very successful test, unless by chance the first zombie was not mummified with lead.
I think that covid should lead us to think about this issue. We are too many human beings and an abundant food source. How much time do you think we have?
All that is missing is a simple infection in a shopping center and a reasonable incubation time and the entire world will suffer the consequences.
Do you think there is a possibility of a zombie apocalypse happening in this world?
Very much. Maybe science fiction gave a good idea to a mad scientist working for China, Russia or the United States, as in the case of MK Ultra. I would like to believe that the world is not as bellicose as it was then, but seeing how China treats its own people, it does not seem crazy to me to consider that they have created a "movie recipe", because honestly, a nuclear war is not in anyone's interest. It's more practical to just release that for a while, lock yourself in a bunker until humanity has been reduced to such a point that when you come out you can dance with a squirrel.
As I mentioned, an organism like the ones I described only needs to be exposed enough to an organism to find a way to feed on it. That in a laboratory is even simpler, you just need people stupid and paranoid enough to have the intention of doing it so, since the world shows evidence of having enough of them, it honestly seems like a very real possibility to me and one that already exists in somewhere, locked in a secret container in a nation of dubious morality.
What would you do if you discovered that a family member or close friend was a zombie?
Let's assume that the zombie apocalypse has been going on for a while and that I have somehow managed to survive with my family. I think that after that point I would have convinced myself that the only way to deal with the problem is to extinguish a life.
I have never hurt anyone... nor do I know anatomy. I think I would do it in such a clumsy and disastrous way that I don't think I'll be able to erase that image from my head for the rest of my life.
Will there be any psychiatrists alive to treat me?
