Hail to the Hive!
It’s a New Year. We have all made it completely around the sun again and we didn’t even need to ask for directions. Well I didn’t I’m not sure about any of you 😉.
I always find myself at this time of year reflecting, thinking back, looking back it if you want, at all that’s happened in the previous year.
Last hear was the year we returned to the UK from Asia after seven years in the Philippines and a spell in Jamaica before that.
It was also the year we moved onto a little narrowboat and began our nomadic floating life exploring the UK canal and river system.
We had breakdowns and tows. We replaced the engine and had all manner of things done to the boat. The hull blacked, new headlamp, new furniture, replaced the stern decking, heating installed and more.
All the while we were continuously cruising with no home base. Just 
We have definitely spent the whole year looking forward to new places, new canals, new moorings, new views.
But as I sit here now reflecting on all that we have managed to do in the past year I am choosing photos of us looking back from the stern deck behind Badger the Narrowboat. It has been quite the journey so far.
This year we will explore so much more. It’s going to be great!
Looking back I can homestly say it has been one of the best decisions we could have made. Adventure at 3mph we can highly recommend!
