A big front blew in from the north and is still here on the east coast of the US. Too messy to surf, so I grabbed the Canon Rebel XS with the 55mm-250mm lens and headed to the nearby coast. I was looking for waves against stones and stumbled upon these little opportunists. The Sandpipers, unbothered by the wind, kept to their routine that some may be familiar with... follow the receding water as close as we can then hightailing it out of there when a wave approaches. I never tire of the sandpipers presence. Here are a few shots for consideration in the #monomad challenge.
