Saturday Driving.
It was a good day. Silenced the phone. Brewed myself a tall cup of coffee for the road, grabbed the camera and just set out driving. I had a general direction of West in mind. I was looking for some farmland, hoping to photograph some longhorn cattle. Didn't find any longhorns but ended up at Lake Okeechobee. I've never been to this section of the lake and was surprised to see the activity here. Looks like the place to be on the weekend. Filled with dozens if not hundreds of fan boats.
Some just hanging, umbrellas up, others taking mini-cruises around the lake. Some drag racing. Quite the event to stumble upon, a first time for me.
I just love drives with no destination in mind. A couple of turns, turnarounds, scenic roads and images captured.
