14. DIVERSITY Ball - Feierst Du Muttertag? 馃お馃槣馃槝 - schmidi on tour [GER/ENG]
... feierst Du 眉berhaupt Muttertag?

... do you celebrate Mother's Day at all?
Yesterday I was at the Diversity Ball in Vienna and let it rip again for a long time. The Diversity Ball is a charity ball and gives people with "disabilities" a place and Rau to be visible. Whether deaf, in a wheelchair. The net proceeds will be donated in any case ...
You can find all the information here https://diversityball.at/
I love such balls and I am really #thankful that I was allowed to be there. Events and opportunities like this to just have a space to "be myself". A place where people celebrate, have fun without being looked at askance. A place where you can dress the way you want, where you can let your hair down and above all, where peaceful coexistence is a matter of course. Between people in wheelchairs, deaf-mutes etc. and "normal people" like we are here ;-)
Long I have thought and really long, whether I should present myself here to the community so and I do it. Always be yourself and stand by it. It was an extensive and noisy ball night and the styling was of course frame-conditionally of course necessary.
Thanks here to Karin van Vliet and team for the styling https://www.makeup-studio.com/index.php/make-up-services/ and Marion for the tips.

Now of course the question arises: Does the city of Vienna need such a ball? Do people need such a ball?
Clearly yes! Gerry Kessler, longtime Lifeball organizer has thrown his hat, Holgar Thor, known as Miss Candy, who always organized the legendary Rose Ball, has apparently fallen ill. Details are missing ...
... and so yes! It is "marketing" for the city and a "fringe group" is thus put in the spotlight. Actually, it is sad that it is only through such actions that we let people live high and draw attention to them.
Just like on Mother's Day?
I hope you don't need beer or alcohol to celebrate Mother's Day with your mother. Rumor has it that there is ;-)
However, do we need a Mother's Day to honor the mother?
Do you celebrate Mother's Day and if so how?
Do we need a day to praise our mother to the skies?
In the past, this day was just a normal day in the family and was never celebrated in a big way in our house. With age, I think it's even more important to consciously take care of your mother, honor her and think of her. After all, it has created you ...
... Unfortunately, and I am well aware of this, the relationship with the mother is not good everywhere. Frictions, quarrels up to "not speaking a word to each other". Then there are people who were never allowed to get to know their mother. etc.
Well whatever it is. Wouldn't now be the golden time to maybe solve one or two challenges?
Do you celebrate Mother's Day? Do you celebrate Mother's Day? How do you feel about such days and actions? Do we need a ball to draw attention to a "fringe" group.
Thoughts about thoughts, after a grand ball night.
How do you see it?
