A great budget soldier. He has decent aim and one of the highest strength stats. Seeing that he is a hand-to-hand combat specialist, I am sure he can handle the Kingpin boxing quest. I don't remember trying it with him though, just because I always have Dr. Q to master the boxing quest. To be fair, outside of this, hand-to-hand combat is quite useless because it is often too risky to approach people with guns in melee range, duh. Still, his high strength stat also lets him kick in doors and use a crowbar very reliably.
Diversity in JA2
To go on a little bit of a rant: Once on Twitter, I had a discussion with a German about gendered speech. He said it is funny that I am against diversity, even though diversity is the biggest strength of Jagged Alliance. First of all, I have to agree that diversity in a classical sense is absolutely the biggest strength of JA2. It has brilliant tactical combat, awesome RPG elements, and graphics that aged like the finest of wines, but every JA2 vet remembers the game for the unforgettable quotes and unique cast. "I miss days where mother Russia was at war with everybody" is the quote that made the sharpshooter Ivan Dolvich an instant fan favorite. And the game really wouldn't be the same if everyone were just a different-flavored American.
However, in my opinion, "diversity" in a modern sense is a captured word. To me, it no longer means a group of people consisting of very different individuals; it means quotas and affirmative action privileging so-called minority groups. I think when it comes to the tolerance of being different, we Libertarians and Conservatives are indeed very tolerant, especially where it counts: in debate. Sure, we Libertarians want to throw socialists and communists out of choppers, and conservatives want everybody to worship the trad lifestyle and preferably not have sex before marriage, but especially today, both camps are well aware that there are very different lifestyles. One of the Libertarian mantras has always been: I might hate what you say, but I will die to ensure you are allowed to say it. And to close the circle back to the game: All the cultures around the world being very unique and different is exactly the reason I also support conservatives. I want to conserve those cultural differences and not live in a multicultural world where every city around the globe looks the same. Rant over. 🙂

Diversität in JA2
Rant Ende. 🙂
