Introduction

Hello there! @Saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

I'm here for this week's Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Armored Up. It is a ruleset that will give +2 armor on all monsters, similar to the effects of the Protect ability.

The Battle that I will show to you this week was from bltzr-wizard-726@bltzr-wizard-726 which is a scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild with max level Chaos Legion deck which placed 38th on the leaderboard last season and was currently playing on Diamond League but before I show you the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

Armored Up
All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Most effective attack would be magic since they ignored the armor and attack directly to health unless the target has Void Armor.

Abilities to Consider:

  • Protect will further increase the armor of the monsters for your team by +2.

  • Having monsters with Rust will reduce the armor of all opponent monsters.

  • With Cripple you can still reduce the health every time it was attacked even with armor while Piercing deals any excess damage on armor to the targets health.

  • A monster with Repair will restore the armor of an allied monster every round while Shatter will remove all the armor of the target no matter how many there are.

  • Divine Shield gives you invulnerability for one attack while Void Armor will be helpful to avoid direct damage to health using magic attacks.

For this battle, we have Armored Up which is the featured ruleset that gives +2 armor on all monsters, similar to Protect ability together with Born Again and Rise of the Commons. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:

  • Summoner: Immortalis - Reduces the health of all opponent monster by -1 and give the Void ability which reduces damage from magic attack but most importantly, it got the Shatter ability which removes any amount of armor that the target has.

  • 1st Position: Position**: Pelacor Mercenary - Has Flying that gives it 25% chance to evade melee and range attack together with Heal that restores its damage health. It also have Retaliate which attacks melee monster that attacks this card.

  • 2nd Position: Fungus Flinger - Gives another 15% evasion chance with Blind and prevents the target from healing with Afflict. When it was defeated, it will increase the stats of the monsters adjacent into it with Martyr.

  • 3rd Position: Regal Peryton - Got Flying that increases its chance to evade attacks by 25%.

  • 4th Position: Venari Marksrat - Also got Martyr together with Snare that removes the Flying of the target.

  • 5th Position: Goblin Psychic - Also got Affliction together with Tank Heal that provides further support for my tank and Silence that reduces the magic of all opponent monsters.

  • **6th Mycelic Slipspawn reduce the spedd of all opponent monsters withs Slow and forces monster to target this card with Taunt. Any attacks that will be targeted against it that is 5 or more will be turned into 1 with Forcefield.

Did your Strategy Work?

no matter how much the armor of the opponent have built with buffs and the ruleset, the Shatter that Immortalis provides would turn any amount of armor that the target have to 0 and this is what allows me to win the battle.

That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
