If you have good armored cards in your deck then you can easily survive in the Heavy Metal ruleset. But if these kinds of cards are missing from your deck then you will struggle in battles with these kinds of rulesets.

Luckily I had some good armored monsters in my deck which gave me a chance to survive in the Heavy Metal ruleset. I had some good selections to choose from but the selection was not done the way I should have done it.

Let us look at the rulesets and strategy in this 37 mana battle and see which monsters I selected.

Before playing any battle it is important to know which rulesets have come and how you understand those rulesets and what strategy you adopt. If your monster selection is according to that ruleset then 50 percent of your win rate will be confirmed.

The other 50 percent which depends on your win is your other monster cards. If you have good monster cards in your deck that fit the ruleset then surely your win will be 100 percent.

Todays 37 mana battle was very interesting but at the same time it was quite confusing because of the restrictions. Let us understand these rulesets and then understand which strategy I adopted.

RULESET 1 — HEAVY METALS

This is a ruleset where you are only allowed to summon armored units. The monster cards in your deck that do not have armor will all be disabled and only armored monsters will be visible for you to select and play in the battle.

Therefore it is important to understand that your deck must have a balanced selection of monster cards so that they can give you a chance of survival in these kinds of rulesets.

Now if your deck has good armored units then you can make good monster selections in these kinds of rulesets and battles and you can enter the battle with a strategy.

According to this ruleset your strategy should be to list your strongest armored monsters. Try to make sure that you summon a strong tank monster that has complete power.

RULESET 2 — BORN AGAIN

According to this ruleset all units whether they are allied units or enemy units get the Rebirth ability.

The Rebirth ability means that they self resurrect only once during the battle with one health and 100 percent armor.

For example if one of my monsters dies in the battle then because of this ruleset it will come back to life. But its health will be only one and it will have 100 percent armor.

Therefore in these kinds of rulesets armored monsters are given very high priority. When it gets reborn all magic debuffs are removed and all magic buffs will be reapplied. This turn will also be skipped.

In this kind of ruleset these armored monsters are the ones that will work for you. So your main focus should be to choose your strong armored monsters and select them for the battle.

MY STRATEGY AND MONSTER SELECTION ACCORDING TO RULESETS

Keeping these rulesets in mind what was my strategy?

I selected my Archon monster with the plus one magic power ability. What this will do is that because this is an armored ruleset battle most of the selections will be armored monsters. When you select a monster with magic ability then this will give an advantage to your magic attackers because magic attacks bypass armor and directly hit health.

I did not have magic power in armor but still I selected this Archon because within its family I had some good armored monster cards. So I was forced to select this Magic Archon.

On the front line I placed a strong monster with high melee attack power and high armor and health. It also had the Taunt ability.

The Taunt ability means that it draws the enemy attacks toward itself.

In the second position I again selected a secondary tank monster which had one melee attack and good armor and health.

In the third position I placed a monster which had armor and health but had no attack power. Its job was to give protection to my fourth monster because my fourth monster was a strong attacker with two ranged power and it also had the Snipe ability.

ON THE BATTLEFIELD

When I also looked at the enemy unit monsters on the battlefield it was quite interesting because it was going to be a great and tough battle.

The enemy opponent focused mostly on monsters with high health and armor while my focus was to keep high strikers.

The battle started very strongly. There were heavy strikes from both sides but my strike was better because in one round two of my monsters were making effective attacks while the enemy was making only one effective attack. This was an advantage for me.

From Round One to Round Six the same monsters kept fighting because they also had the resurrect ability so each monster had to come back to life again.

Because of these strikes in Round Seven the enemy's front line was destroyed which gave me quite a lot of relief.

Then again from Round Seven to Round Eleven continuous attacks kept happening. Then another enemy was eliminated and this time it had a support ability.

At this point my front line tank monster played its role very well.

Then in Round Thirteen my front line monster was eliminated. It had supported my other allied units to a great extent.

From Round Thirteen to Round Seventeen another great two versus three battle continued.

But in Round Eighteen the enemy's strong melee attacker was also destroyed.

Now the opponent only had a monster with high armor and health without any attack power.

At this point I realized that I would win this battle.

And in Round Eighteen the enemy's last unit was also destroyed and I got an excellent victory.

It was like a one sided battle where only one of my monsters was eliminated while all of the enemy's monsters were eliminated.

This is why if you understand the ruleset properly and your monster selection is good then you can win that battle 100 percent.

MY FAVORITE MONSTER IN THIS BATTLE

In today's battle I will give my favorite monster the first strong tank monster award. It survived in the battle until Round Eleven and kept dealing heavy damage while also giving protection to my allied units.

What would your strategy be in this kind of ruleset and which monsters would you give more preference to?

I will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
