Introduction

Hello there! saydie@saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

This will be my entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Lost Legendaries. This is a ruleset where monsters units with Legendary rarity cannot be used in battle .

The Battle that I will show to you was from a tournament using bltzr-wizard-726@bltzr-wizard-726 which is the scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild in partnership with Side Door Ventures and was currently playing on Diamond League of the Modern format but before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.

This battle comes with a 36 mana cap where the active rulesets are Fire & Regret, Taking Sides and the featured ruleset for this week which was Lost Legendary. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:

Summoner: Immortalis - An Earth summoner that reduces the health of the opponent team by -1 and gives all ally monsters the Void ability which reduces the damage that it receives from magic and Shatter which removes the armor of the target.

  • 1st Position: Pelacor Mercenary - A 7- mana melee tank which has Flying that reduces the chance for it to be hit by melee and range attacks by 25% and Heal that allows it to restore the damage it receives.

  • 2nd Position: Fungus Flinger - a 3- mana range monster whose main purpose was to serve as a sacrificial card to activate Martyr which will increase the stats of adjacent monsters and it also have Blind which increases miss chance by 15%.

  • 3rd Position: Venari Scaot - A 3- mana melee monster which can attack the opponent monster with the lowest health using Opportunity and has Dodge which increases evasion chance by 25%.

  • 4th Position: Goblin Psychic - A 6- mana Magic unit which has the Tank Heal ability to restore the health of the tank, meanwhile, it has Addliction to prevent the target to use heal and Silence which reduces the magic of all opponent monsters.

  • 5th Position: Acid Shooter - A 2-mana range monster that attacks randon target due to Scattershot and reduce their max health 2with Cripple.

  • 6th Position: Mycelic Slipspawn - This Magic unit forces all able monster to attack it with the use of Taunt and has the ability to turn damage from monsters with 5 or more damage due to Forcefield.

Did My Strategy Work?

Legendary monsters were just another set of cards that were banned due to this rule set and can be compensated with using other card rarities and with this battle, I was able to use the available rarities to win me the match. As you can see, I still can use Legendary summoners in this match which is the exception to this rule set.

That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
