Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. Today, I will discuss "Buns the Unseen," one of the Arena Vanguard cards in Splinterlands. It is a special Rare Neutral Unit. Being Neutral, it is not restricted to any specific Splinter, offering the opportunity to use it in various team compositions and strategies. Let’s dive into the details of this card.

Buns the Unseen is portrayed as a mysterious wanderer who travels along paths invisible to ordinary eyes. He carries maps of unknown lands and wears armor adorned with ancient symbols; legends say his presence causes magic to weaken. These characteristics align perfectly with the card's "Void Armor" and "Silence" abilities. The most compelling aspect of the card is its combination of abilities: initially, "Reach" allows it to attack from the second position; at higher levels, "Void Armor" ensures the armor protects against Magic Attacks; and at even higher levels, "Silence" reduces the enemy team's Magic Attack. However, the greatest advantage of Buns the Unseen being Neutral is its versatility,it isn't locked to a specific Element. This means it can be added to teams of various Elements as needed, serving as a flexible defensive option in specific situations.

The primary ability of Buns the Unseen at Level 1 is "Reach." This ability allows a Melee Attack unit to strike even from the second position. Consequently, Buns the Unseen can be placed directly behind the lead Tank, making it highly effective as a secondary tank. Should the lead Tank fall, Buns the Unseen is capable of stepping up to take over frontline duties. Another crucial ability is "Void Armor." Typically, Magic Attacks bypass armor to strike Health directly, but "Void Armor" forces Magic Damage to hit the armor first. This is particularly significant for Buns the Unseen, given its robust armor. Consequently, it can offer extra defensive value against magic-heavy opponents. This ability becomes available starting at Level 2.

However, my personal take is that Buns the Unseen stands apart from typical damage-focused cards; its true appeal lies in its positioning, defense, and anti-magic utility. Thanks to the 'Reach' ability at Level 1, it is already viable for the second position. Upon gaining 'Void Armor' at Level 2, its defensive capability against magic attacks increases. Furthermore, the addition of 'Silence' at higher levels allows it to impact the entire enemy team's magic attack capabilities. That said, its high mana cost (11) means it cannot be deployed in every battle. Therefore, it is crucial to consider the battle's mana cap, ruleset, and the likely composition of the opposing team before selecting this card.
To wrap things up, Buns the Unseen is a compelling Rare Neutral Unit in Splinterlands, defined by key abilities like Reach, Void Armor, and Silence. It offers the versatility to launch melee attacks from the second position while simultaneously countering magic damage via Void Armor. The addition of Silence at higher levels further enhances its utility against magic-reliant opponents. All in all, Buns the Unseen is a card designed not merely for attacking, but for strategic play involving positioning, defense, and anti-magic tactics. That concludes my overview of this card. Thank you, everyone.
