One of the funniest things about Splinterlands is how a card you barely thought about can suddenly become the most important card on your entire team.

You build your lineup and immediately focus on your strongest cards.

You look for high damage.

You look for good health.

You look for useful abilities.

You try to make everything work together.

Then there is that one card sitting quietly somewhere in your lineup that you did not expect much from.

You are basically thinking:

β€œLet’s just see what happens.” πŸ˜‚

Then the battle starts.

Your strongest cards are doing their thing, but suddenly that β€œrandom” card starts performing way better than expected.

It survives an attack.

Then another.

Then it takes out an enemy card.

At this point, you start paying attention.

β€œWait… this card is actually cooking.” πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯

Before you know it, the card you almost ignored is still standing while some of your supposedly stronger cards are already gone.

That is one of the things I enjoy about experimenting in Splinterlands.

Sometimes the obvious choice is not the best choice.

A card might not have the highest attack or the most impressive statistics, but its ability can make it extremely useful in the right situation.

And when you discover that during an actual battle, it feels even better.

There have been moments where I looked at a card and thought it would probably just be there to fill a position.

Then the battle starts and that card basically says:

β€œDon’t worry, I’ve got this.” πŸ˜‚

Suddenly it becomes the unexpected hero.

That is why I think players should not completely ignore cards just because their stats do not look amazing.

Sometimes you need to experiment.

Put the card into a lineup.

Give it a role.

See how it performs.

Maybe it works.

Maybe it fails spectacularly. πŸ˜‚

Either way, you learn something.

And that is probably one of my favourite parts of Splinterlands.

Every battle gives you another opportunity to discover something.

A new combination.

A new ability.

A new positioning idea.

A card you underestimated.

Or even a strategy you thought would never work.

Sometimes the best battles are not the ones where everything goes according to plan.

They are the battles where something unexpected happens and you have to sit back and think:

β€œOkay… I definitely did not see that coming.” πŸ˜‚

Then you finish the battle and immediately start thinking about how you can use that idea again.

That is when you know the game has successfully pulled you in.

You are no longer just playing battles.

You are experimenting.

You are testing ideas.

You are trying to figure out what works.

And every once in a while, one of those experiments turns into a surprisingly good strategy.

So now I try not to judge a card too quickly.

The card that looks average today could become the MVP of my next battle.

And honestly, I love those moments.

Because sometimes the biggest surprise in Splinterlands is not what your opponent brings.

It is what your own team is capable of doing. πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯

Another battle.

Another experiment.

Another unexpected hero.

That’s the fun of Splinterlands.
