So, last season was the start of Modern Format with the Brackets System implemented, among which players can select their preferred Brackets to play in proportion to the level of their cards, similar to when there were separate leagues. Since I have been playing Modern Champion for more than a year now and can still rank high on the Champion leaderboard even with my small card collection, I decided to enter the Champion Bracket last season just to test the waters. Since the new system has reset all the player ratings to 0, and have had to crawl back to their previous rating, I am not expecting that my earnings would be as high as I did during the previous seasons, but it's shocking how much lower my returns were despite still managing to be on the leaderboard.
Anyway, let us see how much I earned last season cause it may not be worth all the beatings that I get competing against all the top players in the Champion Bracket.
Modern Format Season 105 Splinterlands Report

For modern ranked season 105 with the new Brackets system, I was still able to be in the top 84 on the leaderboard, despite having my entire deck nerfed because of the low-level card restriction in Champion Bracket, which prevents me from using the entirety of my Conclave Arcana Epic and Legendary Rewards and Extra cards, some of my Rebellion Epic and Legendary units, as well as some Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards that I own, limiting what my deck can do, meanwhile, I was against top accounts and liquidity bots with all the meta cards. Because of that, I only got 50k Glint from the leaderboard rewards.

With that, I only earned a total of 2,902.724 SPS or about $ 11.53. It is really low compared to my previous earnings. We can say that it was because my ratings were reset to 0, which required the need for get much lower Reward Points, but I can't really see myself earning the same amount as I previously earned right now, unless I doubled my card collection, as it is also now included in the computation of rewards.

Since I missed a lot of brawls, that also means that I earned fewer Merits. Last season, I only earned 5,267 Merits from brawls, but because I opened a ton of Chests, I was able to gain another 18,114 Merits for a total of 32,416 Merits. Still, that's plenty, and I would have to check if I can open a hundred Gladius packs after this.
If there was a good thing that happened is that yesterday I won another black foil card Phlegmor, with only 211 fortune entries, though it is only a common unit.

When it comes to Glint, the total Glint that I earned last season was 753,606 Glint by just playing modern ranked and the reward I got from the leaderboard. It's not that far from my previous Glint earnings, which is why even if I got the same Glint earnings that I earned previously, I do not think that I will reach the same heights when it comes to SPS.

As for my DEC expenses, my total expenses last season were 25,242.256 DEC or about $ 12.79 at the current price, which leaves me with -$ 1.26 of earnings. Playing Champion bracket puts me into negative earnings.
CA Reward and Extra Set Progress
Using the site splinterhub.com, I was able to monitor the progress of my reward cards. It's good to see that my common collection is already at max level, but my common collection was still at 93%, so it will take a few more seasons at least to have them at max level
But it was on my Epic and Legendary rewards that I was really struggling, because at their current levels, these cards cannot be played in the Champion Bracket, which makes competing more difficult than it already was.
Closing
So with that, I have decided to move down in the Diamond Bracket where I can utilize my Epic and legendary reward units. I may also earn more Glint by playing under this Bracket cause all the top accounts are in Champion, although my SPS earnings are yet to be known.
