Just a few hours ago marked the 52nd weekly fortune draw for the Conclave Arcana rewards, wherein, during each period, there are 78 lucky players who will receive a random Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, or Black Foil Arcane Conclave Arcana reward card from the remaining reward pool of prizes. To participate in the draw, there is a small fee of 125 DEC to get a Fortune Pass, and you need fortune entries that you can acquire through playing ranked battles, chests, or by directly purchasing them through the Glint shop. The reason I'm talking about it is that I won a Black Foil Phlegmor on the recent draw.
And by no means was it an easy win, because with a total of 275,558 Fortune entries that were entered during the draw, only 211 entries came from me. That was despite the fact that I have already spent 50k Glint to buy 2 batches of Fortune entries and open tons of Chests. Regardless, I was thankful to have won another Black Foil card in my main account for the fifth time, but it will most likely be the last since there is only 1 remaining draw before all the remaining prizes are distributed. After that, we will have to wait until the next reward set before we get another pool of premium foil rewards.
Phlegmor
Phlegmor is a melee Divine Construct unit with a mana cost of 4 and has the Life attribute. At max level, it has a total damage of 2, speed of 3, and health of 7, which can make it a decent card for its very low mana cost, and it can also attack the backline of the opponent team, which is usually where protected units are placed using Sneak. At the same time, it has some support capabilities with Strengthen, which increases the health of all ally units by 1, and Protect that gives 2 armor to ally units so long as this card remains in play.
As for which rulesets it can be used in, I would say that this card can be good during Up Close and Personal, since only melee units can be used, and this card can attack at the back of your opponent's cards. It also synergizes well with the Life Archon Elias Max Pruitt, since its tactics allow it to give one unit Armored Strike, so the more armor, the stronger the damage that it can provide when attacking.
Battle Showcase
In this battle, you can see that my opponent and I have chosen the same Archon and a quite similar team, including the use of Phlegmor to increase the armor of our units. It just so happens that I had more powerful units in my arsenal compared to his. I placed my tactics on Leolin Sifu, which, after the armor boost from Elias Max Pruitt, Silverblade Fighter, and Phlegmor, got a 5-armor boost.
Because of that, as soon as it attacks with Armored Strike, the target receives a whopping 12 melee damage from it. Combined with its melee attack, the target was immediately defeated.
But Phlegmor would not let the battle be just a mere support, because in the last round, it dealt the finishing blow to the last opponent unit, which also happened to be another Phlegmor.
Closing
And that was it for the common unit, Phlegmor. Among the Black Foil cards that I won, this is a card that I want to keep with me, since I often use it in battles with my current deck build, even when I have already fully maxed out its Regular Foil version. As for the regular foil version, I am thinking of fully unbinding it so that I can either sell it or rent it soon, but to do that, I still need to have 266 common unbinding scrolls to unbind it.
