Loads of inspiration and ecstatic events highlighted my weekend from my younger brother's birthday to being a guest at a multi-level marketing company event down to the reopening and healing of closed up wounds. These were exhilarating moments of excitement, impact and forgiveness.
It was my younger brother's birthday so I decided that instead of him being bored at home all day, rather he comes along with me to attend the multi-level marketing company's event I was invited to which was going to hold the Hotel Presidential.
On our arrival, we took a lot pictures then obsequiously followed the directions into the main hall.
The hall was so beautifully decorated with much attention paid to details. The event kicked off with a mini-seminar, giving an introduction of what the company is about, the services they render and the financial opportunities they provide through their dynamic marketing plan.
Then, it was the award and recognition Oriflame (the MLM company) recognised and awarded those who had gone the extra mile and worked hard. Many if them were awarded with cash prizes, iPhone, household luxuries, promotions to higher ranks and the star winner, was awarded a brand new super nice red (I didn't care to find out the name or model lol) jeep, worth 17.5 million naira. I finally made up my mind to join the company after fruitless efforts my host had made to get me to come on board.
When we were leaving after the event, I was so inspired, likewise my brother. He had never been to that kind of event before. So I seized the opportunity to give him some big sister talk about how anyone can achieve success by setting their mind on it. I told him those who practise yahoo yahoo(Internet fraud) are just lazy- not wanting to direct their energies in profitable ventures and look, a woman just won a 17.5 million naira worth of car by simply putting her energies in selling cosmetics.
We got home after having a nice time outdoor and there it came again. Old Wounds were opening up in my heart with my mind processing thoughts of them but there was that loving voice of Jesus again in my heart, telling me to let go. I learnt from that. I decided that I was going to see people the way God sees them, not the way they are and I was going to keep opn walking in love, with a robust heart full of joy every second of the day.
I said to myself, "I'm above offense, hate, malice, anger and the like... these have no place in me."
So you see, you can choose to learn from the events both negative or positive that occur around you and continue being that person of value and substance that you are.
