Yesterday was a busy Saturday. I have started to control all we have to take to our Portugal trip next week and as usual, there are always last-minute purchases you have to make. Our intention is to start leaving stuff there so besides the things we need for the trip, we also have to plan to bring those things we want to leave there.
During the week, I found out on Saturday evening that there was planned a 1st-anniversary fest at Molta Malta (Lots of Malt), one of the craft beer bars in Mataro, our next-door town.
I had a chance to meet them last weekend while visiting the Craft Beer Fest. It was a great occasion to talk to the owner and get his insights about the new beer-related project I am working on, so I decided to stop by. It is a small place with a nice terrace located on a walking street.
The owners are also owners of Synera Craft beer company, so at the entrance, the first thing you find is a fridge with all different varieties of their own beer
As I walked in to meet with Marc, the owner, I could already see the place was all set to have a live music concert in a short while.
The walls were all decorated with local craft beers as well as beer-related products.
One of the things I like the most about these small artisanal beer producers is how well they get along with their "competitors". You can see some of them hanging on one of the bar walls.
The meeting went quite well, Marc is a young guy, in his thirties, I explained the model and he understood it right away and liked it. He decided they want to participate once we launch, so even though I had no beer, it was a fun and productive visit!
Here's a short video they created for Synera a few years ago, when they started producing beer.
