I've been testing AI studio during the past days. I wanted to deeply try one of the existing AI tools to see if I would be able to develop a webapp from scratch only using the text prompt.

The goal was to build an NFT collectible site where users could claim Nfs, check their collection and a few additional functionalities. All based on Ethereum Sepolia testnet and using IPFS as image storage.

This was my initial prompt:

please, create an app that lets a user login with social media and creates an EVM wallet for seamless onboarding, then lets the user scan qr codes within the app to claim digital collectibles in the form of NFTs.
The app should clearly have an area to show claimable collectibles and another one for owned ones. The administrator should have a backend to decide when to activate collentible claims and when to stop them

It created a basic webapp, with social login, letting me choose between several chains and a basic administration module to create the new NFTs. I had to iterate serval times (and days as I was reaching the max free daily tokens) to end up having what I had in mind which included transaction sponsorship, hiding blockchain info for customers, adding two images per Nft and some stats.

Although the tool is not perfect, it is basically due to language interpretation. You have to be very specific to let the engine generate what you need and keep testing it to make sure everything works correctly. But the tool lets you sync your Github account generate a new repo and commit everything you keep creating and it also lets you publish your work on a google.ai URL to show your progress/result to the world. Here's the public url in case you want to check it

This is my first experience coding with one of this tools, although I did some initial testing a few months ago with Replit.

Of course, the service keeps all the prompts you have introduced and the history of everything it has developed in every stage, so you can go backwards and keep an eye on what results you got after every text prompt. It also lets you share and "fork" your projects so you can create new ones using an old one as a starting point.

I plan to test Claude from Antropic and also OpenClaw as an alternative open source tool to finally decide which platform I feel more confortable with.

As a quick example, this is the result I got when I requested to generate a webapp showing all posts from a Hive user account. Here's the prompt:

Create a webapp which loads all published posts from a Hive.io blockchain user and presents them in a sleek, chronological feed.

This was my first result with an error.

I introduced my user account and the app fetched the profile info, but I believe it failed to get the posts due do RPC connection.

As you can see, the tool tries to acomplish the jop you request, but you have to understand what you are doing to finetune your work and fix the errors before you can get anything up and running.

You can take a look and try to see if you get it working on the public url where I published it.

All in all, an interesting free (for now) interesting sandbox to play with!

PS: As an update, I wanted to share I used the same prompt on Replit.com and the system was able to generate a full functioning webapp extracting the posts from any given Hive account.
