I know how it is because I have been living with one for the past 13 years of my life. Life was not easy with her since day one. Yes, it was difficult initially, but I have learnt a lot from life and have made peace with it. She is the one person i hate yo the core and I am very vocal about it. I absolutely have no arguments with her because to have arguments one has to communicate. She is none other than my Mother in Law.

My husband knows I hate his mom and has stopped trying to bridge the gap between us. Instead he advices me to stay out of the house as much as possible to avoid her.
My hatred for her started building up around 12 years ago when I was pregnant for the first time. She would not do anything in the house and would make me do the household chores all alone in the time when doctor has prescribed complete bed rest. Well, the strain led to miscarriage, but that didn't stop her from repeating her mistake for the second time when I got preggers again. My husband however understood the need for a maid and we hired one who was fired the day I stepped into the house after the delivery.
The other most heart pinching thing that I remember and cannot forget even if I want to is instance where she accused me of being a selfish person who doesn't think about other members of the family including my own husband. I was around 5 months pregnant and was heavily sick. I could it eat anything and there my husband bought some of my favourite sweets. I was craving them so I started gorging on them and I didn't realise that I had eaten more than half of it. My mother in alw was angry as fuck and she spelt out words that ecoes in my ears even today. I stopped eating anything before my family does from that day.
So why am I accusing her of being a hypocrite? Well, she doesn't practice what she preaches. She is fitter and healthier than I am but she doesn't lift her leg unless it is for her own good. Absolutely no help. And she is the one who eats the things that is bought in the house. She finishes them before anyone else asks for it. Shouldn't she practice what she preaches?
